- Genetic factors: The type of corn that forms on non-weight-bearing areas, such as the soles and palms, might be caused by genetics.
Corns & Calluses Prevention/Treatment
Take some actions to prevent corns & calluses from developing:
- Wear sandals/shoes that provide a wide toe box: Have a sandal/shoe that stretches at any point that rubs or pinches
- Use protective coverings: Wear pads or bandages over areas that rub against your footwear
- Wear padded gloves when using hand tools: Or try padding your tool handles with cloth tape
- Soak your feet with warm water: You could soothe your swollen feet after a long day
When to see a doctor?
